TERIYAKI BITES 🥡 a sweet + sticky one still 👀

👉🏾INGREDIENTS👈🏾
-1/2 cup dark brown sugar
-1 cup water
-3 garlic cloves
-1/4 inch ginger
-2 tbsp soy sauce
-1 tbsp shao xing rice wine
-1 block firm tofu
-4 tbsp cornflour

👉🏾METHOD👈🏾
-start by mixing the sugar + water in a pan then add bashed garlic + ginger + simmering on low/medium heat for around 10 minutes or until the sauce becomes sticky.
-remove the aromatics then gradually add the soy sauce + rice wine + continue to simmer for another few minutes to reduce again.
-break your tofu into equal sized chunks then coat with cornflour + fry until crispy.
-add the crispy tofu to the pan and coat with the sauce then serve with sesame seeds + enjoy!
